The Young European of the Year

Today, we welcomed Madeleina Kay to Alderwood to talk about what it means to be European.

She is a very talented person who writes and illustrates her own books and has written over 30 songs.

In an assembly, she read her first book to our children, which explores the theme of being a refugee and having to leave your home behind.  Our children then had the opportunity to ask her some questions.

"What advice would you give a young musician?" - Aniel

"What did you have to do to be awarded the Young European of the Year?" - Louie

"How many other books have you written?" - Vinnie

Braidon also commented that he disagreed with her that 'Peace' was the most important value that we could hold.  For him, 'Love' is far more improtant.
