Hello Phil.
I've just emptied an old box of tat in my loft, and found these photos.
They are of year 4 setting off to Swanage with Mr Brownfield, Mr Scarlett (both in photo) and Mrs Kirby to keep the girls in order. We stayed in the Oxford Hotel. I recall racing driver Jim Clark died the next day. Great trip though!.
I think we went in the autumn term of 1967 and judging by the lack of leaves, probably November.
Jennifer Eccles by The Hollies was hugely popular and we sang it all the way there!
Just seen fellow classmate Geoff Charman's cuttings. The top one (with me on far left with my fossil book) must be mid 1968. I've got somewhere a similar copy from the Kentish Times where we are all under a tree by the dining hall.
Hope my pics are of interest.
