**** POSTPONED ****

Sorry, But I still have no information. If you can find anything out about the Open Day, Please email me as I am as much in the dark as you are (23/03/08)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Owing to structural problems found in the school over Easter 2007, the school will have to be closed

during half term week to allow essential work to be carried out. This is when the Open Day was scheduled,

so a new date will now have to be found.

Please can you let anyone who was planning on coming that day know what's happening

I will do my best to keep you informed of the new date.

Open Day 2007

(or Reunion 50 years + 5)

Remember a few years ago when we had that “little” get together we called a “reunion”, well …….

The school is currently undergoing a major overhaul at the moment with a new nursery being built along with a children’s centre and a Designated Special Provision (DSP) centre. (see photos below)

And what we thought was, that it would be nice to have a little open day next year when all the work is finished so that people can have a wander round the school and see all the work that had been done and to reminisce on how the school has changed over the years.

The NEW date for the event is Saturday 2nd June 2007

The plan is for the school to be opened from 10am till 4pm where people can come to the school and be given a guided tour of the new parts of the school.

This is also an excellent opportunity for people who came to the 2002 School Reunion to meet up again, and for people who were unable to make that day to return to the school and catch up with their old friends.

It is hoped that people from the PTA will get involved, so there will be much more going on than just a tour of the school and meeting of old friends. The PTA will be asked for their ideas at their next meeting and once they have come up with some ideas I have asked for them to be forwarded to me so that I can include them here.

If you are likely to come to the event, if you can let me know, then we will have an idea of the numbers so we can provide adequate refreshments, also it will help when I get the "Do I know if so-and-so is going". If you email me using the link below it will be much appreciated.

Also if you can think of anything else we can do on the day, then let me know and we will see what we can do.  Also if you have any school photos that are not on the website then bring them along on the day and we will scan them in and add them to the website.

And remember to check back here for further information

And one last thing ............................. Tell everyone you know who went to Alderwood.

Thanks

Phil Cook
