My sister lost her four year battle with cancer in Guy’s Hospital this evening.

Update 27th March 2006

I can let you know that Janice is well on the way to a full recovery and is now back home. She is still under Hospital control and has to be taken for weekly appointments by hospital car as she cannot mix freely with the outside world just yet. All looking good for a complete recovery, but still early days.

I have just had an email from Ken Field

My sister Janice is in Guy's Hospital recovering from lymphatic cancer. I do not know if this is the sort of information you put on the Alderwood web-site, but some of her old friends may not know that she is ill. She has not had a very good 18 months, but does seem on the brink of a recovery.

She is in Samaritan Ward.

And in a further email Ken informed me

She is in solitary confinement at the moment having undergone a stem-cell transplant. She will be in Guy's for 30 days minimum with just under 2 weeks done. It will be a long haul.
